Spring, summer, and fall panoramas of the Cohoes Falls as seen from the
new viewing area. Ironically the falls were running higher than normal in
the summer view, a season that normally features a small trickle. Higher
than normal rainfall coupled with the fact that no water was being diverted
through the power generating station at the base of the falls while
the intake and feeder canal were being renovated, likely are the reasons
why the summer of 2009 offered visitors a glimpse of the potential power
of the falls.
