average of 12.1 miles per day. Our average pace was 2.1 miles per hour.

I logged my odometer reading each time I had to move my car. From my home in Cohoes through all the hiking legs and back to my home I drove a total of 678 miles. If I subtract out the leg from home to the first place I parked in Upper Benson and the leg from Long Lake back home I still drove 486 miles in order to walk 133 miles.

As you can tell, I have the raw data to calculate a lot of silly, meaningless statistics. I only cite those here that I think might be helpful to someone else thinking about hiking the trail.
