In 2008 the Albany Downtown Business Improvement District held a photo contest to select images for a fund raising calendar. The images represent "Slice of Life" type images of Albany at the 400th anniversary of Henry Hudson's voyage of discovery. Our image depicts a sculpture that was part of the 2007 "Sculpture in the Streets" collection. Jim Lewis' Lactarius was suspended from a cable stretched between two trees in Academy Park. To the right and behind Lactarius you can see the statue of Lew Swyer which was the subject of our 2007 calendar A Man for All Seasons. We are honored to have been selected for inclusion in this calendar. |
